Lorena Cocioni – Zina Gallery

Lorena Cocioni (b.1995, Constanta, RO) holds a BA and an MA in Graphics from University of Art and Design, Cluj Napoca. In her practice, she often uses the body’s senses and the ritual component of everyday actions, such as washing, combing hair, (un)dressing, and taking care of the body. With leisure practices and daily rituals at its core, Cocioni’s practice is building up a scenario that allows a slower pace within domestic settings, a space beyond the men-dominated world. Therefore, by blending various materials, her practice steers clear of the unitary binary fallacies, reclaiming the resilience of female bodies in contemporary visual experiences.
